Demo Import Overview

MediPro Themes include professionally designed demo content that allows you to quickly set up your website and begin customization. The demo import process creates the pages, menus, content, images, and theme settings needed to match the theme preview.

Before You Import Demo Content

Before starting the demo import process, make sure the following requirements are completed:

  • ✓ MediPro Parent Theme is installed
  • ✓ MediPro Child Theme is activated
  • ✓ Required plugins are installed and activated
  • ✓ You have administrator access
  • ✓ Your hosting meets WordPress requirements

Starting the Demo Import

After activating your MediPro child theme, follow these steps to import the demo website.

  • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  • Navigate to:
  • Appearance → Import Demo Data
  • Select the available MediPro demo.
  • Click:
  • Import Demo Content
  • Wait until the import process is completed.

Setting the Homepage

After importing demo content, WordPress may need to be configured to display the imported homepage.

Steps:

  • Go to:
    • Settings → Reading
  • Select:
    • A static page
  • Set:
    • Homepage → Home
  • Save Changes.

Assigning Navigation Menus

If your navigation menu is not displayed correctly after importing the demo, assign the imported menu to the correct location.

Steps:

  • Go to:
    • Appearance → Menus
  • Select the imported menu.
  • Assign it to:
    • Primary Menu
  • Save Menu.

Missing Images After Import

In some hosting environments, media files may not import correctly due to server restrictions, image size limits, or external URL accessibility.

Steps to resolve:

  • Confirm your hosting meets WordPress requirements.
  • Increase PHP upload limits if necessary.
  • Re-run the demo import.
  • Contact support if the issue continues.

After Importing Demo Content

Once the demo import is complete, you can begin customizing your website.
